Course Description: Remediation University is a FREE, full day seminar and lunch consisting of comprehensive educational curriculum designed to provide practical and useful guidance to environmental professionals. This first half of the day will cover all aspects related to the subaqueous capping and treatment of contaminated sediments. Topics include the use of innovative active in-situ sediment treatment technologies specially designed to provide a method of placing active materials into subaqueous sediment caps as well as knowledge on the use of marine mattress for simplified construction and protection in highly erosive conditions, eliminating the need for costly and thick sand caps.
The second half of the day will cover the diversity of solidification/stabilization applications and unique solutions utilized for in-situ or ex-situ treatment of contaminated material. Remediation University is a comprehensive educational seminar with a curriculum designed to provide practical and useful guidance environmental professionals encountering sites with contaminated soil conditions.
